Aimar Pérez Galí

Aimar Pérez Galí developed her artistic practise in the field of dance and live arts as a dancer, choreographer, researcher, teacher and writer, always recognising the body as a place of reference and dance not as an end in itself, but as a tool of critical transformation. He studied contemporary dance at Amsterdam University of the Arts (Holland), and has a master’s in Critical Theory and Museum Studies in the Programme of Independent Studies of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA)/ Universitat Autònoma Barcelona (UAB). Since 2010 he has co-founded and directed ‘Espacio Práctico’; from 2014 he has been part of the teaching staff at the Department of the Superior Conservatory of Dance at the Institute of Theatre of Barcelona and from 2017 he has co-ordinated the reading group ‘Encara!’ at MACBA.
