Do you think you know everything about the Barcelona chair? Mies & Reich a successful couple

In the innumerable images that have come to us from the Pavilion that represented Germany in 1929 at the Universal Exposition of Barcelona, the chairs designed for its inauguration appear as protagonists.

White skin, untouched, without wanting to steal prominence to the impeccable structure, precise, pure, steel, chairs along with the canapés, on a black carpet, in contrast to the lightness of the glass table, stood out from the wall of Gold onyx, setting the perfect scene for the official reception.

At that moment a new concept of space appears. Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich generated it in a professional relationship characterized by a balance in appropriate tension, like their designs.
